1. in the late 1800's. physicists believed that in order to ultimately describe nature they only needed to fine-tune their description of the order world

2. the energy of an emitted photoelectron increases with the increasing intensity of light.

3. light shining on a metal surface can cause electrons to be emitted.

4. as the frequency of the light increases, the maximum energy of a photoelectron increases.

5. the wave theory of light is used to explain the photoelectric effect.

6. the energy of electrons hitting a metal surface can produce electromagnetic radiation.

I'd say 1) and 2) are false. I think the goal has always been to unify all matter and energy into one theory, and I believe they, as well as us, are aware that there is a lot we don't know.

3) True
4) True
5) False, the light is acting as a particle
6) and 7) Not sure ._.

Sorry, if I am wrong, I did this stuff ages ago Tongue
