CaC2 + 2 H2O -----------> C2H2 + Ca(OH)2
What mass of acetylene is produced if 32.0 g of CaC2 is placed in the lamp with an excess of water?

CaC2 + 2 H2O → C2H2 + Ca(OH)2
(32.0 g CaC2) / (64.1000 g/mol) x (1/1) x (26.0375 g/mol) = 13.0 g C2H2
