A wheel of radius R = 25.2 cm, mass M = 2.27 kg, and moment of inertia I is mounted on a frictionless, horizontal axle as in the figure. A light cord wrapped around the wheel supports an object of mass m = 0.798 kg. Calculate the tension in the cord.
I was given: T = mg/(1 + (mR2 / I) )
however- they didnt give me I

I know that I for a wheel is 1/2mR^2 tried plugging that in and that wasnt right....

Sorry about that, the mR2 was atypo is should also be R^2.

You have written R^2 in " 1/2mR^2 " . What is R2 in (mR2 / I)?
